A team of 5 junior club members represented Wimbledon KJK at the Sussex Karate Championships in Hailsham on 15th April 2012. This was a great opportunity for te junior members to compete at county level, and all of them performed excellently. Special mention goes to Hannah and Ellie who competed in both the kumite (fighting) and kata categories. All 5 members will go on to compete at the KJK National Championships in Kent in June 2012.
Following on from this success, all junior club members took part in our bi-annual Club Tournament on Tuesday 29th May 2012. All members took part in both kata and kumite events, even very new beginners! Well done to all those who took part! We look forward to representing Wimbledon at National level in June and wish those taking part the best of luck.
