Gold in Association Tournament!

Sempais Matt and Ellie with one of their competing students
Wimbledon Club instructors came home with a total of 5 trophies between them on Saturday after competing in the Weald of Kent Association Tournament against competitors from across the South of England.

Competition was of a high standard, with competitors required to be performing at the top of their game to progress.
Sempai Ellie wan Gold in Senior Womens Karate and Kickboxing, as well as coming home with Silver in the Senior High Grade Kata which was closely contested.

Sempai Matt pipped Sempai Ellie to the Gold in the Senior High Grade Kata, and also won Silver in the Senior Mens Full Contact Knockdown category.

Junior club members also competed gaining valuable experience in both the technical kata event and the physically demanding kumite against more experienced opponents. The club is going from strength to strength and continues to perform well at association events.
